Job summary

The Learning Experience – Newark is seeking an experienced Lead Preschool Teacher to lead a classroom where children develop the academic, social, and emotional skills needed for kindergarten and beyond. As the classroom leader, you'll create engaging learning experiences that encourage creativity, problem-solving, independence, and confidence while fostering a warm, supportive environment for every child.

The role offers full-time hours, competitive pay of $17–$18 per hour, and opportunities

Qualifications

• Delaware TECE I and TECE II credentials required.
• Previous preschool teaching or classroom leadership experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a preschool classroom and provide daily instruction using curriculum.
• Promote early literacy, math, science, and social-emotional development through hands-on learning.
• Maintain a safe, structured, and engaging classroom environment.
• Mentor Assistant Teachers and promote collaboration within the classroom.
• Observe children's progress and communicate regularly with families.
• Ensure compliance with Delaware licensing regulations and center policies.
• Partner with center leadership to maintain the highest standards of educational quality.

The Learning Experience – Newark is looking for an experienced Lead Preschool Teacher to lead a classroom where children develop the academic, social, and emotional skills needed for kindergarten and beyond.

As the classroom leader, you'll create engaging learning experiences that encourage creativity, problem-solving, independence, and confidence while fostering a warm, supportive environment for every child.
