Job summary

The Learning Experience in Newark, DE is seeking an experienced Lead Preschool Teacher to guide a classroom where children build the academic, social, and emotional skills needed for kindergarten and beyond. As the classroom leader, you will craft engaging activities that foster curiosity, independence, and confidence in every child.

You will lead daily instruction using The Learning Experience's LEAP curriculum, mentor assistants, and partner with center leadership to maintain high educational

Qualifications

• Delaware TECE I and TECE II credentials are required.
• Experience leading preschool classrooms preferred.
• Strong knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice and classroom management.

Responsibilities

• Lead a preschool classroom using the LEAP curriculum.
• Promote early literacy, math, science and social-emotional development through hands-on learning.
• Maintain a safe, structured, engaging classroom environment.
• Mentor assistant teachers and promote collaboration.
• Observe progress and communicate regularly with families.
• Ensure compliance with Delaware licensing and center policies.
• Partner with center leadership to uphold high educational standards.

Pay: $17–$18 per hour

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday

Lead Preschool Teacher – Prepare Children for Kindergarten Success

The Learning Experience – Newark is looking for an experienced Lead Preschool Teacher to lead a classroom where children develop the academic, social, and emotional skills needed for kindergarten and beyond.

As the classroom leader, you'll create engaging learning experiences that encourage creativity, problem-solving, independence, and confidence while fostering a warm, supportive environment for every child.

Responsibilities

• Lead a preschool classroom and provide daily instruction using The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum
• Promote early literacy, math, science, and social‑emotional development through hands‑on learning
• Maintain a safe, structured, and engaging classroom environment
• Mentor Assistant Teachers and promote collaboration within the classroom
• Observe children's progress and communicate regularly with families
• Ensure compliance with Delaware licensing regulations and center policies
• Partner with center leadership to maintain the highest standards of educational quality

Qualifications

• Delaware TECE I and TECE II credentials required
• Previous preschool teaching or classroom leadership experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices
• Excellent classroom management and communication skillsCPR and First Aid certification preferred
