We are a Christian, full-day, year-round preschool located in Falls Church, VA serving children ages 16 months to 5 years old. We are a ministry of Columbia Baptist Church whose mission is to“Ignite passion for Jesus Christ from Metro Washington to the world.”We are seeking full-time Lead Preschool Teachers to work Monday thru Friday.

Our Lead Teachers will:

• Prepare and lead age-appropriate learning activities to foster the children’s social/emotional, physical and educational development.
• Work with our Children’s Pastor to prepare and lead lessons to foster the children’s spiritual developmental.
• Document and communicate to parents their child’s progress towards pre-established developmental goals.
• Ensure classroom compliance with preschool licensing requirements.
• Supervise the classroom’s assistant teachers and provide guidance as needed.

Lead Teachers need to regularly bend, stoop and crouch in order to physically interact with children and ensure their safety, as well as occasionally lift children or supplies throughout the course of the day. Lead Teachers must be able to communicate effectively with children, parents, and co-workers.

Qualified candidates will have previous classroom teacher experience working with preschool age children. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in a child related field and/or a child development/early childhood credential (CDA).
