About Us: Camellia Waldorf School, located along the Sacramento River, is an established Waldorf School since 1989. Our intimate community is supportive and strongly committed to Waldorf Education. Our rich program offers many learning opportunities for toddlers to teens that meets their developmental milestones.
What We Are Looking For: Camellia Waldorf School is seeking an experienced full-time Lead Preschool Teacher for our 5-day Preschool Program. The preschool teacher will work closely with the Early Childhood Faculty planning festivals, having weekly meetings, and will continue to build a full and healthy program.
The ideal candidate will have at least five years of demonstrated success working with children, parents, and colleagues in a previous Waldorf school environment. In addition to a bachelor’s degree and Waldorf Early Childhood Certification, the position requires excellent communication and organization skills, a high degree of warmth, creativity, and initiative to work with students, parents, and colleagues.
The Lead Preschool Teacher is responsible for leading children ages 2 years and 9 months – 4 years in our licensed Preschool Program using the Pedagogy of Waldorf Education.
This position acts as the licensing director for Camellia Waldorf School. The Preschool Teacher is expected to oversee all licensing activity and requirements of the Preschool Program.
