Qualifications:

• Early Childhood Related Degree Required (Bachelors or Associates) and 4+ years of experience.We will consider candidates who are working towards their degree currently)
• 4 Years of Experience teaching Pre-K or 3KIN CLASSROOM
• Experience teaching in Reggio Emilia (preferred), Montessori, or Play Based schools
• Kinesiology or Health Related expertise is aBIG PLUS

Who are we looking for?:

We are looking for a lead teacher AKA EARLY CHILDHOOD EXPERT (3-5 year olds) to join our teaching team. At capacity, we will have 15 students and 3 teachers in this class. All teachers on the teaching team are degreed in early childhood and seeking to be the best teacher they can be individually, while still functioning in (and benefitting from) being part of a team.

We are aSTART-UPschool in hyper growth mode so we are looking for someone who can step in on day-one to share their knowledge, experience, and best practices with us. Change and growth excites you. You are able to be autonomous in the classroom but are still coachable and adaptable to the changing needs of a newer school.

• ARE EARLY CHILDHOOD EXPERTS- You have 4+ years experience with teaching 3-5 year olds. You have a methodology that you follow for how to teach in a way that keeps it fresh and interesting for students. Reggio Emilia, Montessori, and Play Based approaches are preferred.
• ARE PARTNERS TO PARENTS- Our school and the families in it both view the relationship between families and staff as a true partnership in all the different milestones that toddlers are going through.
• FOCUSED ON MENTAL AND PHYSICAL HEALTH- (A background in nutrition and/or kinesiology is a BIG bonus.)
• You are able to articulate your method of teaching and why

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans for 3-5 Year Olds, incorporating core educational concepts.
• Provide a nurturing and safe environment for students to learn and grow.
• Utilize effective classroom management techniques to create a positive learning atmosphere.
• Foster children's social, emotional, and cognitive development through engaging activities.
• Collaborate with parents and caregivers to support each child's individual needs.
• Stay current on best practices in early childhood education to continuously improve teaching methods for yourself and the whole team
