Job summary

Malaika's Childcare, LLC in Alaska is seeking a full-time PreK teacher with a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education to guide and nurture young learners. The role requires planning developmentally appropriate curricula, supervising children, completing assessments, and coordinating with staff on field trips and classroom activities while maintaining safety and compliance with state regulations.

Experience is valued but not mandatory; training is provided as needed to support quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) required.
• Experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Always supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of the children.
• Plan curriculum for the children in the classroom that is developmentally appropriate and helps children develop physically, cognitively, emotionally, socially and spiritually.
• Complete assessments and observations 2 or 3 times a week per child.
• Implement the daily program.
• Assist with arranging for and attending field trips.
• Decorate the room including bulletin boards.
• Attend monthly meetings (for planning, gathering supplies, sanitizing toys, classroom cleaning, etc.)
• Attend 12-15 hours of training per school year as agreed upon with Owner.
• Be familiar with state regulations, PA Keys, PHLPreK, as well as with Program Policies of Malaika Felts Childcare.
• Light cleaning throughout the day.
