Job summary

Yates Construction Co. is seeking a skilled estimator to prepare estimates for commercial construction projects across design stages, from concept to construction documents.

You will evaluate labor, material, and equipment costs, assemble bid packages, and lead the estimating team through submission, with close collaboration with operations, owners, architects/engineers and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial construction estimating across public, private or federal projects.
• Significant knowledge and experience on CM/GC, CMaR, Design Build projects and complex competitive bid projects.
• Proven track record of success working with operations, owners, architects/engineers and subcontractors.
• B.S. Degree – Construction Management, Construction Engineering or Civil Engineering

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates with the necessary level of detail for all design stages: Conceptual, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents.
• Prepare quantity take-offs and estimated costs of materials, labor, and equipment.
• Evaluate labor pricing/production for specific projects and locations; price for all trades.
• Manage estimating teams in the assembly and submission of bids.
• Review subcontractor and supplier bids for conformity and coordinate bid package analyses.
• Present and explain project budgets to clients and design teams; lead estimate presentations.
