Job summary

A leading construction company based in Tennessee is seeking a skilled Bid Estimator for Building Management Systems (BMS) in Data Centers. The ideal candidate will have a B.S. degree in Construction Management or Engineering and over 3 years of experience in commercial construction. Responsibilities include preparing bids and project proposals accurately and efficiently while ensuring all costs are identified. This position requires proficiency in estimating software and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years previous commercial construction experience with public, private or federal projects is required.
• B.S. Degree – Construction Management or Engineering.
• Strong working knowledge of estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of project proposals and bids.
• Identify and compute labor, material, and time costs by studying proposals and specifications.
• Work with estimating team to build the estimate and pricing.

Skills and Experience

This position will be responsible for the accurate and timely preparation for commercial construction project proposals and bids. Identify and compute labor, material, and time costs by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications and other bid documents.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of programs such as Bluebeam, Excel, and Word.

• Visit project and pre‑bid meetings to understand site conditions/scope.
• Review plans and specifications.
