Job summary

Aligned Data Centers is seeking a senior construction estimator to lead the preconstruction phase of data center projects, delivering budgets, cost estimates, value engineering, and constructability reviews on time and within scope. You will collaborate with internal teams, consultants, and subcontractors, analyze documents for risks and savings, and present recommendations to clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 7–10 years of experience in construction estimating, focusing on data centers or mission-critical facilities.
• Proficiency with RSMeans, Timberline, WinEst and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preconstruction phase of data center projects including budgeting, cost estimating, value engineering and constructability reviews.
• Develop accurate and detailed cost estimates based on designs, schematics and specifications.
• Collaborate with internal teams, consultants and subcontractors to ensure estimates are comprehensive and competitive.
• Analyze project documents to identify risks, opportunities and cost-saving measures.
• Prepare and present cost estimates, proposals and value engineering recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
• Participate in project meetings and provide ongoing support to project teams during preconstruction.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, construction costs and market conditions.
• Assist in the development and implementation of preconstruction best practices, procedures and tools.
