Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Precast Concrete Inspector II to lead plant quality control for precast and prestressed production, or perform owner/agency inspections for DOT and structural precast programs. You verify prestressing operations, review mix designs and strength records, accept or reject finished products, and maintain QC records.

The role also supervises Level I inspectors and coordinates daily coverage on projects.

Qualifications

• PCI Level II certification is required.
• 2+ years in a certified precast or prestressed plant.
• Knowledge of PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and DOT precast specs.
• ACI strength testing certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify prestressing operations and strength transfer.
• Review mix designs, batch tickets, and strength records.
• Accept or reject finished products per specifications and shop drawings.
• Discipline repairs; maintain QC records for PCI and DOT programs.
• Supervise Level I inspectors; assign daily coverage.
