Job summary

Prime Hospitality Group seeks an experienced Director of Engineering to lead pre-opening commissioning and ongoing facilities leadership for Cedar Park Marriott Hotel & Conference Center in Cedar Park, TX. You will oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life-safety, and building automation systems, while partners work with ownership, the management company, Marriott representatives, and external vendors.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of progressive engineering, facilities, construction, or building operations experience.
• At least three years in a hotel leadership role (Chief Engineer/Director of Engineering or equivalent).
• Advanced knowledge of HVAC-R, electrical, plumbing, building automation, life-safety, and energy management.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-opening commissioning, turnover, and opening readiness for a 297-room property.
• Direct 24-hour operations, maintenance, and life-safety readiness across all hotel spaces.
• Manage budgets, capital planning, service contracts, and vendor relationships.
• Coordinate with ownership, management, Marriott resources, and project teams to ensure safe, reliable operations.
