Job summary

Cadence Education is seeking a Lead Pre-K Teacher to join our Newton, MA team. You will plan and deliver developmentally appropriate curriculum, lead classroom operations, and support the needs of all children—including those with IEPs—while upholding safety standards and licensing requirements.

You will work under the School Director, collaborating with families and staff, and participate in ongoing professional development and Cadence programs. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a classroom with structure and care.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and licensing requirements.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, welcoming, inclusive classroom environment.
• Build positive, professional relationships with children and families.
• Recognize and respond to diverse developmental, behavioral, cultural, and learning needs (IEPs, behavioral plans).
• Plan, implement and document developmentally appropriate curriculum.
• Use Cadence systems to communicate with families and staff.
• Maintain a safe, well-supervised classroom per safety manual.
• Document accidents and escalated behaviors per policy.
• Follow Cadence policies in Employee Handbook.
• Participate in trainings and meetings, possibly outside regular hours.
