Job summary

Relativity Space is seeking a senior electrical engineer to define and lead electrical system architecture for launch facilities at Cape Canaveral. You will drive design across 23 kV to 120 V, select gear, and produce construction documents while coordinating with Space Force/NASA utilities and internal teams.

You will mentor engineers, ensure code compliance, perform system studies, and help shape long‑term facility strategy in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in electrical systems design and deployment.
• Experience leading complex electrical design efforts and architecture.

Responsibilities

• Define electrical system architecture and technical requirements for launch facilities.
• Lead design and integration of electrical systems from 23 kV to 120 V.
• Design switchgear, MCCs, motors, VFDs, UPS, generators, grounding, and emergency systems.
• Produce construction docs, control schematics, and single-line diagrams; perform arc flash studies.
• Provide NEC/NFPA and applicable requirements reviews and coordinate with teams.
• Coordinate installation, commissioning, and acceptance with subcontractors and utility personnel.
• Establish engineering standards and mentor engineers; partner on long-term facility strategy.
