Job summary

Clarivate is seeking an experienced Lead DBA/Developer to join a small, highly technical team of database engineers globally. You will design, develop, optimize, and maintain cloud-based database platforms across AWS, Azure, and on‑prem environments with a focus on PostgreSQL development, SQL coding, data conversion, and database optimization.

MSSQL support for US Government and commercial customers is included.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a SQL Developer, Database Developer, DBA Engineer, or similar database‑focused role.
• 7+ years of experience with relational database architecture, logical and physical database design, and performance optimization.
• 7+ years of experience developing and supporting PostgreSQL, MSSQL Server, or other enterprise database platforms.
• 7+ years of experience writing and optimizing SQL code, stored procedures, and database objects.
• 7+ years of experience working with AWS cloud infrastructure and database services.
• Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder with an active Public Trust Clearance or the ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Lead PostgreSQL development efforts, including SQL coding, query optimization, and data conversion initiatives.
• Partner with software engineering teams to support ETL processes, data warehousing, and database‑driven applications.
• Design, maintain, and optimize database structures to ensure scalability, performance, and data integrity.
• Support AWS‑hosted database environments supporting US Government and commercial customers.
• Troubleshoot database performance, data quality, and application‑related issues.
• Collaborate with development teams to define best practices for database design, deployment, and ongoing support.
