Job Description

The Lead Housekeeper is responsible for supervising the cleaning operations of the casino vessel, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and policies of Belterra Casino Resort & Spa. The role involves serving both external and internal customers by providing a clean, friendly, and safe environment on the vessel.

The Lead Porter

• Provides exceptional guest service, positively influencing interactions with guests and staff, and demonstrating resiliency and teamwork.
• Ensures compliance with regulations set by the Indiana Gaming Commission, ABS, and other relevant agencies related to riverboat gaming and vessel operations.
• Enforces policies and procedures established by Belterra Casino Resort & Spa.
• Supports emergency response procedures to ensure safety of passengers, employees, and property.
• Assists Utility Porters to meet performance standards.
• Assigns tasks to maintain the casino's appearance at a high standard.
• Supervises and supports Utility Porters during their duties, ensuring minimal disruption to guest services.
• Performs all tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret vessel schematics, policies, and procedures.
• Effective communication skills with guests and staff.
• Ability to follow written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions.
• Problem-solving skills with the ability to implement solutions.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts and schedules.
• Ability to work in environments with noise, cold, heat, humidity, vibration, crowds, and smoke.
• Must pass a chemical dependency test and work in a drug-free environment.
• Legal work authorization required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience onboard vessels, preferably in riverboat casinos.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, and team-building skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Minimum age of 21 years.
• Ability to obtain and maintain necessary licenses and certifications as per regulations.
