Job summary

Engtal in Boston seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead higher education and life sciences construction across Greater Boston. You will oversee ground-up facilities, lab fit-outs, and research spaces from preconstruction through closeout, coordinating with clients, design teams, and field leaders.

The role requires 5+ years in construction PM, a track record with $20M+ projects, deep knowledge of MEP, and experience working in occupied campuses.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in construction project management.
• Proven experience managing higher education, laboratory, or life sciences projects ($20M+).
• Strong financial acumen and client-facing communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead project planning, budgeting, and scheduling efforts.
• Oversee subcontractor buyout and procurement strategy, with focus on specialized trades.
• Manage client relationships and serve as primary contact.
• Coordinate with Superintendents to drive field execution in active campuses.
• Review submittals, RFIs, change orders, and maintain cost controls.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements (lab, cleanroom, MEP).
• Drive project financial performance, reporting and risk management.
