City of Boise is seeking a Plumbing Plans Examiner/Inspector Sr. to review plans for residential and commercial construction, conduct field inspections and work with contractors and design professionals to resolve code issues.

The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule and a strong benefits package, including paid medical, retirement, and paid leave. Candidates may be considered for an underfill while pursuing the required certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Four years of journey-level plumbing experience and codes.
• Or equivalent education/experience.

Responsabilités

• Review plumbing plans for residential and commercial construction.
• Perform field inspections and verify code compliance.
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers and designers to resolve code issues.
• Assess plan changes and issue permit-ready documentation.
• Provide interpretations of plumbing codes and guidance to applicants.
• Conduct plan intake and multi-discipline team meetings on complex projects.
• Prepare written reports outlining deficiencies and required corrections.
• Ensure compliance of engineered plumbing systems with applicable codes.
