Job summary

FirstCall Mechanical in Tampa, FL is seeking a Plumbing Designer/Engineer to design, lay out, and coordinate plumbing systems for commercial, residential, and industrial projects.

You will collaborate with architectural teams and clients, apply industry standards, and prepare drawings using Revit and AutoCAD. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering and relevant plumbing design experience are preferred, with opportunities for career growth and advancement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Plumbing design for buildings (built environment) - Commercial, Retail, Industrial, Multi-Family, Medical, Sports, Technology.
• Revit knowledge and experience developing designs independently and as part of a team.
• Work with Architectural firms and owners in delivery of studies/assessments, renovations, and new construction work.
• Knowledge of Mechanical/plumbing, electrical, or fire protection equipment and installation.
• Codes and standards: ASHRAE, NEC, IBC, IECC, Life Safety Codes, LEED, EarthCraft.
• CAD skills with AutoCAD and Revit.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate best/most appropriate design solution through application of industry knowledge while considering Client and Project specific parameters.
• Lead project, provide design direction or support projects as assigned or needed.
• Provide technical assistance for multiple projects during complete design and implementation life cycle.
• Review designs and formulate or incorporate team identified value engineering options.
• Prepare necessary drawings, specifications, and system models using application of theory and practical knowledge of construction best practices.
• Communicate with team members, Clients, other consultants, project professionals, authorities having jurisdictions and others as necessary to complete project and promote the interests of the Client.
