Job summary

Ohio Expo Center & State Fairgrounds seeks a Plumber 2 to lead lower-level trades in plumbing projects, maintain and repair plumbing systems, and support events. The role includes reading blueprints, estimating costs, and coordinating crew activities to ensure reliable plumbing across facilities.

The position requires 18 months of plumbing experience or training, and may involve on-site, hands-on work with both new installations and renovations. Union OCSEA collective bargaining applies.

Qualifications

• 18 months plumbing training/experience under supervision of an experienced plumber; includes arithmetic with fractions & percentages and basic English literacy.
• 6 months of plumber work experience or equivalent qualification.
• Equivalent minimum qualifications for employment per posting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate Ohio Expo Center plumbing projects and crews.
• Maintain and repair plumbing equipment, pumps, valves, and fixtures.
• Inspect and report on plumbing systems and perform winterization as needed.
• Prepare material and labor cost estimates and order supplies.
• Assist in event setup, maintenance, and post-event inspections.
