Job summary

Fulton County Schools seeks a skilled Maintenance Mechanic III, Plumber to perform plumbing trades and associated skilled work in the Foreman South #3 department. Duties include installing and repairing plumbing systems, reading schematics, and ensuring code compliance.

Ideal candidates have a Journeyman Plumber License, 5+ years of experience (3+ in commercial plumbing), a valid GA driver's license, and the ability to work variable shifts; CDL eligibility is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Journeyman Plumber License required.
• Masters Un-Restricted Plumbing license preferred.
• Valid Georgia Driver License required.
• Eligible to acquire a CDL.
• Insurable by Fulton County School carriers.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience; 3 years in commercial plumbing preferred.
• Skilled in use of plumbing materials, methods, tools and equipment.
• Able to understand and follow directions written and verbal.
• Must be able to work variable shifts.

Responsibilities

• Locate and diagnose plumbing trouble using schematics, drawings, and specifications.
• Assemble, install, repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures per code requirements.
• Perform maintenance, repair and installation tasks in plumbing systems.
• Remove obstructions from drainage systems and perform emergency repairs as needed.
• Use appropriate tools and safety practices to complete tasks.
