JOB SUMMARY

A lead plumber serves the clients of the company by expertly servicing, repairing, and replacing plumbing systems.

JOB DUTIES

1. Perform residential and light commercial service calls to diagnose and resolve plumbing issues.
2. Identify potential problems to prevent premature and/or unexpected breakdowns/callbacks.
3. Repair or replace plumbing fixtures, test joints, and pipe systems.
4. Interpret drawings and specifications to determine layout requirements.
5. Review blueprints, building codes or specifications to determine work details and procedures.
6. Study building plans and inspect structures to assess material and equipment needs, establish sequence of pipe installations, and plan installation around obstructions.
7. Measure, cut, thread, bend, ream, and install pipe and pipe fittings.
8. Locate and mark position of pipe installations, connections, passage holes, or fixtures in structures.
9. Install pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, appliances, or fixtures using hand or power tools.
10. Utilize Straight Forward Pricing (including all company approved forms) correctly on each call.
11. Wear floor savers while in the client’s home and maintain a neat work area while performing a repair or scheduled service.
12. Test each aspect of the job before leaving a home to ensure everything is working properly and that the job was completed correctly, eliminating unnecessary callbacks.
13. Explain each service performed to the client each time a maintenance or repair is completed and ensure clients are 100% satisfied with all work.
14. Convey a safety-conscious attitude, both on the job and while driving.
15. Maintain cleanliness inside and outside of vehicles at all times.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

1. Lead/Master Plumbers are considered senior level and typically operate their own truck.
