Job summary

Parallel Systems seeks a Senior PLM & Manufacturing Systems Engineer to own the systems controlling how our vehicle is defined, released, and built. The role focuses on SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional administration, data handoffs to Odoo, and defining release/control processes for scalable manufacturing.

You will grow with the organization, expanding into MES, quality management, and serialized traceability as production scales. A hands-on, senior IC role with future expansion is offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years administering PDM or PLM systems in hardware engineering or manufacturing.
• Hands-on SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional administration: workflow, data cards, permissions, Dispatch.
• Ownership of an engineering release and change control process.
• Knowledge of ERP/MRP data: item masters, BOMs, routings, and engineering data handoff.
• Scripting or light development to build system integrations (Python, C#/.NET, SQL) with REST/XML-RPC.
• Experience translating process requirements into system configuration with engineers

Responsibilities

• Own administration of SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional environment and related servers.
• Design data cards, workflows, revision schemes, and state-driven permissions for engineering/production.
• Define and implement engineering release and change control including ECR/ECO workflows.
• Govern CAD and product data standards, part numbering, file naming, and templates.
• Maintain PDM-Odoo integration to ensure BOMs and released drawings flow to manufacturing.
• Automate routine admin tasks with Dispatch, scripting, and APIs; train users.
