Jobot is seeking a senior Mechatronics/Automation engineer to lead engineering and project execution for robotic solutions. You will collaborate with diverse teams, assess vendors, conduct FATs, and support commissioning across sites.
The role involves developing technical specs and documentation, building supplier relationships, and mentoring growth in mechatronics and automation, with travel up to 20%.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Mechatronics or Automation or related field.
- 5–10 years’ experience in mechatronics/automation engineering.
- Experience with on-site customer service, testing, and commissioning.
- Strong project management or product development experience in multicultural environments.
- Expertise in robotics, process control, automation, and electro-mechanical systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead engineering and project execution for robotic and automation solutions.
- Assess and select vendors, components, and subcontractors for projects.
- Plan and conduct shop tests, FATs, and commissioning activities (up to 20% travel).
- Provide technical support and guidance to local teams and customers.
- Develop standard documentation (specs, checklists, functional descriptions, P&IDs) for robotic apps.
- Build long-term supplier relationships and support supply chain consolidation.
- Mentor and develop capability in mechatronics and automation.
