Job summary

Agropur Cooperative is seeking an Advanced PLC/HMI Programmer Lead to program automation systems including DCS, PLCs, HMIs, and process controllers. This role develops logic diagrams, troubleshoots equipment, and trains PLC automation technicians.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or technical degree in electrical technology or related field required.
• Minimum five years of related experience in PLC/HMI programming and automation.
• Experience with 4-20mA control loops and motor control centers.
• Proficient in Rockwell PLC programming and FactoryTalk SE.
• Knowledge of P&ID, diagrams, and electrical prints.

Responsibilities

• Follow standard programming practices and develop functional specifications.
• Define technical specifications to meet business requirements.
• Develop and maintain PLC programs; modify FactoryTalk SE HMI as needed.
• Provide technical guidance to maintenance and automation teams.
• Oversee and train PLC Automation Technicians; ensure safety and compliance.
• Maintain documentation, drawings, and data models; support plant startups.
