Job summary

Divcon Controls seeks a Lead PLC Control Technician to serve as the on-site technical authority for PLC field execution and turnover readiness. You will supervise technicians and own technical readiness for commissioning, SCADA/HMI integration, processor redundancy, industrial networking, and documentation quality.

This position requires regular travel and collaboration with PLC Engineers, project managers, contractors, vendors, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with design

Qualifications

• Five years minimum hands-on PLC/industrial automation experience with field leadership.
• Advanced PLC platform knowledge including Rockwell/Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, Schneider Electric.
• Ability to evaluate ladder logic, function blocks, and trends, plus IO binding and SCADA configurations.
• Extensive knowledge of EtherNet/IP, Modbus, BACnet, MQTT, OPC UA and network security considerations.
• Proven ability to supervise technicians, coordinate with engineering and PMs, and communicate complex issues clearly.

Responsibilities

• Supervise PLC Control Technicians and Senior Technicians on projects; assign daily work and monitor quality.
• Lead PLC field execution from installation through startup and turnover readiness with documentation closeout.
• Review drawings, schematics, I/O schedules, network diagrams, and SCADA requirements for constructability and completeness.
• Approve PLC programs, tag databases, alarms, and commissioning scripts before startup.
• Resolve complex PLC logic errors, timing issues, and field wiring or network faults.
