Job summary

NorthEast Sportsfield-Rec in Greater Boston is seeking a Playground Construction Foreman / Installer to lead crews on-site, guide daily work, and ensure safe, high-quality installations of playgrounds and related features.

You will manage plans, coordinate with contractors, operate equipment, and drive safety with regular site meetings. This full-time, year-round role offers growth and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 5 years of playground installation or related construction experience.
• Experience with systems like LSI, GameTime, Kompan, or similar is a strong plus.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, layouts, and grading plans.
• Comfortable using mobile job management tools.
• Strong communication skills with clients, contractors, and crews.
• Willingness to travel and stay overnight for 5+ days when needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and organize daily and weekly work plans for your crew.
• Install commercial playground equipment and related site features based on specs and drawings.
• Operate equipment such as mini excavators, skid steers, and other machinery.
• Ensure all work meets safety, specifications, and quality standards.
• Provide hands-on guidance and support to your crew in the field.
• Keep track of crew hours and complete daily job reports.
• Coordinate with general contractors, superintendents, and project managers on site logistics.
• Run weekly safety meetings and maintain a strong safety culture.
• Attend job meetings when required.
