Job summary

AMD is seeking a dynamic Lead/Principal Systems Design Engineer to shape platform architecture and system-level design for client, workstation, and server products. You will collaborate across silicon, firmware, BIOS, validation, and ecosystem teams to deliver high-speed I/O platforms and secure, energy-efficient solutions.

In this high-visibility role, you will drive design tradeoffs, validation plans, and root-cause analysis while coordinating with OEMs/ODMs and partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience in defining platform requirements and system-level architecture for client/server/workstation products.
• Strong knowledge of chipset technologies, firmware interactions, and high-speed I/O interfaces.
• Ability to translate compliance and sustainability objectives into platform architecture and validation strategies.
• Experience with board bring-up, debug, and validation across complex platforms.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive platform architecture and requirements for chipset and I/O subsystems, aligning with regulatory and energy-efficiency goals.
• Lead evaluations, tradeoffs, validation planning, bring-up, and debugging across subsystems throughout product lifecycle.
• Collaborate across silicon, firmware, BIOS, validation, compliance, and ecosystem teams for integration and certification readiness.
• Work with OEMs/ODMs and partners to enable deployment of AMD platform technologies.
