Job summary

Adobe is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join Project Graph, a new creative system enabling AI model integration and modular tool workflows across the web and Adobe apps. You’ll design and own platform capabilities, emphasizing browser-native tech and Web Components, with a focus on scalable, robust client applications.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years building complex web apps, deep browser knowledge, and experience delivering framework-independent abstractions.

Qualifications

• Education: BS or MS in Computer Science or related field.
• 10+ years of experience building, testing and operating complex web applications; owns deep technical areas.
• Deep expertise in at least one core area of browser technology; strong Web Components proficiency (Custom Elements, Shadow DOM).

Responsibilities

• Technical Ownership: design, implement, and maintain foundational platform capabilities with native web tech and Web Components.
• Platform Thinking: drive architecture treating the browser as a runtime, with knowledge of rendering, events, networking, performance.
• Innovation & Impact: collaborate with leadership to shape and deliver a technical vision for the Graph platform.
• Engineering Excellence: uphold code quality, testing, and operational rigor.
• Design and Operate at Scale: lead architecture and operation of large-scale client apps with high availability and low latency.
• Mentorship & Collaboration: provide architectural leadership, code reviews, and hands-on mentorship.
• Customer Focus: work with product managers to translate user needs into robust solutions.
