Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for the Developer Workbench, a key MSBX initiative. You will guide architectural decisions while shaping the end‑to‑end developer experience for thousands of engineers globally.

You will own tool integrations, onboarding flows, and pre‑provisioned environments, driving AI-augmented development and instrumenting platform health across the organization.

Qualifications

Proven track record as a technical leader among peers and in code reviews.
Deep experience in platform engineering, developer tooling, or DevEx products.
Ability to decompose complex problems and communicate tradeoffs clearly.
Experience with AI-powered dev tools in regulated enterprises.
Strong knowledge of cloud platforms and infrastructure automation.

Responsibilities

Set engineering quality standards and guide architectural decisions.
Design and maintain core components across the Developer Workbench.
Lead the product roadmap and align with cross‑functional teams.
Own integration of software engineering tools across the lifecycle.
Define instrumentation and metrics for productivity and health.
