Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. seeks a Lead Platform Engineer to lead the build, configuration, and sustainment of a Software Factory for the US Space Force. You will guide Azure cloud and Kubernetes environments, and drive DevSecOps toolchains across labs and production.

The role requires a DoD Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS, 10+ years in DevOps/Cloud, and US citizenship. Up to 25% travel; salary ranges from $131,750 to $178,250 with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

10+ years of DevOps/Cloud experience.
DoD Secret Security Clearance with ability to obtain TS.
US Citizenship is required.
BA/BS Degree (or equivalent experience).
Experience with Linux operating systems.
Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices.
Experience with containerization deployments for Kubernetes.
Experience with Kubernetes Persistent Volumes and CSI plugins.
DoD 8140 Certification / Security+.

Responsibilities

Architect and maintain CI/CD pipelines for software/infrastructure as code.
Deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters in Azure and lab/production environments.
Configure Jira, Confluence, GitLab and DevSecOps tools across VMs and Kubernetes clusters.
Develop automation for building IaC pipelines using Packer and Ansible.
Provide DevSecOps leadership and coaching to teams.
Direct sustainment activities: monitoring, patching, and vulnerability response.
Lead guidelines for deploying to Azure/Kubernetes and define security requirements.
