Job summary

Club Car, Evans, GA, is seeking a Senior Plastics and Composites Design Engineer to shape next-generation golf, commercial, and personal-transportation vehicles. You will lead the full design and release process from concept through tooling, production, validation and launch of durable plastic components.

You will drive material selection, supplier collaboration, and process development for injection molding, extrusion, and other polymeric methods, while mentoring teammates and advancing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Plastics Engineering Technology or equivalent is required.
• Knowledge of thermoplastic and thermoset materials.
• DFM, Mold Flow and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) required for development of plastic parts.

Responsibilities

• Subject matter expert in plastic component design areas (exterior body panels, interior, chassis/structural components).
• Understand processes to manufacture plastic components: injection molding, extrusion, compression molding, blow molding, thermoforming, and other polymeric manufacturing methods.
• Develop and maintain material and component specifications and qualification plans.
• Learn and contribute to requirements, risk analysis, DFMEA, DVP&R and specifications, engineering change notices.
• Employ project management methodologies to ensure predictable development outcomes.
• Remove roadblocks and accelerate project implementation.
• Support development of technology roadmaps and strategies.
• Assist in developing test acceptance criteria using reliability and confidence in designs.
