Athens Services seeks a Plant Maintenance Lead to drive efficient operation of the maintenance department and lead mechanics and cleaners. You will prioritize workload by safety and operational needs, monitor repairs and preventive maintenance, ensure safety practices, and maintain regulatory compliance at the MRF facility.

Role requires troubleshooting knowledge of conveyors, electronics (motor controls, VFD, PLC Allen Bradley) and hydraulics, plus strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and/or GED.
• 3 years maintenance experience and/or support of maintenance department.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish).
• Self-motivated, highly competitive, and results-oriented with a proven and documented history of success.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and communicating via email.
• Ability to learn internal maintenance software quickly.
• Experience implementing safety programs and processes.
• Leadership, organizational, problem solving and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Oversee maintenance department processes, review quality of inspections/repairs, document repairs, and implement improvements.
• Ensure proper parts inventory management and organization.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure processes are followed.
• Promote teamwork and safe working behaviors.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to maintenance staff.
• Ensure maintenance staff have tools and supplies for tasks.
• Promote use of technology to improve shop performance (e.g., Dossier).
