Job summary

Athens Services in Irwindale, CA is seeking a Plant Maintenance Technician to keep our MRF machinery running smoothly. You will troubleshoot, dismantle devices, and repair components with hand and power tools, while upholding safety and quality standards.

You will inspect and service motors, conveyors, exhaust fans, and other equipment, perform welding as needed, and coordinate with the Maintenance Manager and Supervisor. A fabrication background and OSHA awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• 3 years of maintenance/repair experience in a production environment.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Fabrication knowledge (Mig/Tig/Arc/Oxy Acetylene).
• Able to troubleshoot electrical/mechanical issues safely and effectively.
• Valid Class C Driver's License with acceptable driving record.
• Must possess personal tools and be able to perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues on plant equipment.
• Dismantle devices to access defective parts using hand/power tools.
• Inspect parts with calipers, micrometers and other measuring tools.
• Adjust functional parts and control instruments as needed.
• Inform supervisors of operational problems and carry out assigned tasks.
• Perform general plant maintenance, welding and repairs as required.
• Maintain, repair and clean MRF equipment and conveyors.
• Adhere to safety, health and environmental policies.
