Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. in Lake Mary, FL is seeking a Principal Piping Layout & Piping Design Engineer to lead the piping layout, plant arrangement, and detailed piping design for Simple Cycle and Combined Cycle projects across the Americas.

You will ensure safe, code-compliant, constructible piping systems within the 3D plant environment and coordinate with all project disciplines. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 15+ years of experience, proficiency in

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 15+ years of relevant experience.
• Ability to interpret business periodicals, journals, procedures, regulations, and prepare technical documentation.
• Experience applying mathematical concepts including probability, statistics, geometry, and trigonometry.
• Proficiency with 3D model navigation tools and CAESAR II; experience with spreadsheets, word processing, email, and PDF software.
• Knowledge of ASME Section II, PCC, MSS-SP, PFI piping codes and standards.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and own plant arrangement philosophy for Simple Cycle and Combined Cycle power plants.
• Lead development and review of 3D plant models including equipment layout, pipe racks, structural interfaces, and maintenance access.
• Define and optimize layout strategies for GT, HRSG, ST, ACC/cooling, fuel gas, service water, fire protection, and BOP systems.
• Interpret and apply codes and standards including ASME B31.1, B31.3, ASME Sections I & VIII, API, NFPA, MSS-SP, and PFI.
• Ensure piping designs comply with project specifications, industry codes, and regulatory requirements.
• Review contracts and schedules to define piping scope, deliverables, and milestones.
• Provide field engineering support during construction, installation, system walkdowns, and commissioning.
• Travel up to 20%, including possible international travel.
