Job summary

Mitsubishi Power Americas is seeking a Principal Piping Engineer to lead piping design for large frame gas turbine projects. You will ensure code compliance with ASME B31.1/B31.3 and drive fabrication specifications, adhere to schedules, and coordinate with customers and EPCs.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 15+ years of experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and proficiency with CAESAR II and 3D modeling tools. Travel up to 20% is expected.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering and at least 15 years of related technical experience.
• Must be able to read and interpret technical documents, journals and regulations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for reports and presentations.
• Proficient with CAD/3D modeling tools, CAESAR II, and piping design software.

Responsibilities

• Ensure piping designs comply with ASME B31.1/B31.3 and project requirements.
• Review contracts, schedules, and project docs to define piping scope and deliverables.
• Coordinate with EPCs, customers, and internal teams during execution.
• Lead piping design efforts and supervise subcontractor engineering and fabrication.
