Job summary

Hargrove is seeking an experienced Lead Designer to supervise a team of designers and deliver mechanical and piping designs on schedule and within budget. The role requires extensive experience and the ability to lead a design staff with minimal supervision.

You will mentor junior drafters, coordinate with discipline leads, and produce installation specs, pipe supports, and cost estimates. SPED certification preferred, and 20+ years in mechanical/piping drafting is expected.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Engineering Technology or CAD is required.
• SPED Certification (Society of Piping Engineers and Designers) preferred.
• 20+ years of relevant mechanical/piping drafting and design experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and provide technical direction to a design team.
• Deliver mechanical and piping deliverables on time and within budget.
• Provide technical guidance to junior drafters.
• Coordinate work with staff and discipline leads.
• Develop installation specifications and cost estimates.
• Lead and mentor the design staff to meet scope and schedule.
