Job summary

Evonik Corporation seeks a Senior Piping Designer in Mobile, AL to lead piping and plant layout activities from planning through construction. You will develop costed designs, coordinate with engineers, suppliers, and external firms, and ensure compliance with Evonik standards.

The role requires deep experience in chemical/petrochemical piping, ability to lead teams, and proficiency with AVEVA E3D, CAESAR II, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or apprenticeship completed; Bachelor’s preferred.
• Approximately 10 years of piping/layout design experience in chemical/petrochemical industries.
• Experience leading piping discipline on large capital projects and coordinating with engineers.

Responsibilities

• Develop piping project estimates, costs, and schedules.
• Create process plant layouts and preliminary designs for economical solutions.
• Produce piping and instrumentation diagrams with process engineers.
• Lead design reviews and coordinate with clients for approvals.
• Plan and oversee piping design activities by third-party resources.
• Provide expertise to ensure designs meet Evonik standards and project needs.
