Job summary

DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY seeks a Pipefitter Leader (Expert) to oversee a crew in multiple shipyard locations including San Diego. You will lead, train, and assign tasks, ensuring piping installations and modifications meet strict standards on vessel systems.

Open to relocation with potential incentives; you will work full-time in a dynamic, security-sensitive environment, traveling as required and maintaining compliance with DoD regulations.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate the ability to lead or supervise.

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of pipefitting staff to ensure work assignments are completed.
• Install, modify, fabricate, and repair shipboard piping systems including air, water, and steam.
• Mentor and train Pipe Shop personnel in pipefitting duties.
• Inspect ongoing and completed work for quality, specs, and schedules.
• Perform maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting in shop and onboard ships.
