The Role

As our Piercing Lead, you’ll be the heartbeat of the Mejuri Piercing Studio, responsible for elevating customer service, boosting profitability, and creating an environment where jewelry dreams come true.

Compensation

Base pay range of $27 - $35 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. Plus top industry wages, bonus, tip potential, and benefits for full‑time roles.

Customer Experience

• Oversee the full piercing customer journey from greeting to aftercare education.
• Provide a calm, professional demeanor and embody Mejuri values.
• Act as an ambassador, promoting brand awareness and building a local clientele.
• Communicate insights back to the Store Manager and Store Services.
• Work with staff to update schedules and online booking.
• Provide aftercare instructions and identify medical concerns.
• Lead by example on the sales floor, training and upholding expectations.
• Promote services including piercing, engraving, and other offerings.

Operations

• Manage all aspects of the piercing studio, working with Store Manager and Services.
• Support inventory management and ensure optimal quantities.
• Maintain health and safety standards, cleanliness, sharps waste, and space requirements.
• Ensure legal compliance: ID verification, waivers, local laws, and protocol updates.
• Become an expert on the piercing jewelry assortment.
• Support check‑ups and downsizing for clients.
• Style, stack, and suggest products; help clients design ear stacks.
• Promote appointment occupancy and awareness of the studio.
• Coordinate orders for equipment and maintain paperwork.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience with needle piercing.
• Experience with threadless jewelry.
• Up‑to‑date certifications: First Aid, Blood‑borne Pathogens, OSHA.
• Experience with autoclave or STATIM.
• Registered or eligible for local permits (Practitioner Registration, vaccines, etc.).
• Understanding of local market piercing laws.
• Strong health and safety protocol knowledge.
• Demonstrated service excellence in a consumer environment.
• Desire to thrive in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial setting.
• Bonus: Experience selling products at a fast‑growing company.
