Job summary

AbsoluteCare in Cincinnati is looking for a dynamic Lead Physician for Value Based Primary Care. You will guide an interdisciplinary team, lead population health initiatives, and partner with the Medical Director to improve quality and reduce cost. Approximately 70-80% of time is direct clinical care.

The role emphasizes leadership, clinical excellence, and collaboration with community partners in a densely managed care setting.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted medical license in the state of employment.
• Experience leading interdisciplinary clinical teams in a clinic or hospital setting.
• Experience with population health initiatives and care coordination.
• Experience mentoring physicians and advanced practice providers.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary care to a panel of members within a value-based care model.
• Lead and coach an interdisciplinary care team to achieve quality and utilization goals.
• Serve as clinical leader alongside the Medical Director and partners.
• Develop partnerships with academic programs and community organizations.
• Maintain patient panels and manage care transitions across settings.
• Occasionally provide on-call coverage and participate in leadership meetings.
