Job summary

AbsoluteCare in Dayton seeks a dynamic Lead Physician, Primary Care to implement team-based collaborative care and population health for medically complex, socially vulnerable members. The role provides clinical leadership within an integrated care team and partners with the Medical Director to guide providers, nurses, behavioral health specialists, and medical assistants.

The Lead Physician will drive quality and utilization goals, mentor clinicians, manage panels, participate in leadership

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted medical license in the state of employment.
• Clinical and administrative experience leading interdisciplinary teams.
• Experience working for a clinic, community-based organization or inpatient unit.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong problem solving, project management and organization skills.
• Independent self-starter and critical thinker interested in population health and healthcare utilization management.

Responsibilities

• Provide Primary Care to a panel of members collaborating with an interdisciplinary care team.
• Coach and mentor physicians and advanced practice providers.
• Lead clinical governance alongside the Medical Director and clinic leadership.
• Drive quality, utilization, and engagement goals for the market.
• Represent AbsoluteCare with community organizations, hospital systems, and payer partners.
• Provide on-call coverage and develop care pathways to upskill staff.
