Qualifikationen

• Two years of experience as a Physician Assistant in the applicable specialty role(s).
• A valid license to practice as a Physician Assistant in California.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.

Aufgaben

• Serve as first line administrative supervisor for Physician Assistants under the technical direction of a physician.
• Prepare performance evaluations for the Physician Assistant staff.
• Make recommendations regarding hiring, promotions, and transfers and progressive disciplinary measures.
• Conduct staff meetings to ensure policies and procedures are understood and applied.
• Review the quality of assignments and implement corrective measures.
• Develop and revise PA programs in response to training needs and changes in standards.
• Assist in supervising and evaluating clinical performance of PAs in various specialties.
• Serve as a resource for unusual or difficult cases and provide evaluation and treatment procedures.
• Assist in clinical training of students and orientation of allied health staff.
• Coordinate staff development through in-service training and conferences.
