Job Summary

The Lead PTA provides intermittent physical therapy services primarily at Avalon Park Independent Living Facility, including leading exercise classes, conducting screenings, and onboarding new patients. The role involves 75% patient care and 25% team leadership activities, working under the supervision of a Physical Therapist (PT).

Responsibilities

• Adhere to agency policies and procedures
• Provide physician-prescribed therapy following the established plan of care
• Assist in patient rehabilitation to restore or improve physical function
• Lead exercise classes and instruct patients and families on home programs
• Participate in team meetings, in-service programs, and quality improvement activities
• Prepare and update medical records and care plans in a timely manner

Qualifications

• Graduate from an APTA-approved two-year college program
• Current licensure in the practicing state(s)
• Preferred: Two years of experience
• Ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment

Physical Requirements

• Ability to participate in physical activities, including heavy lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
