Job summary

St. Mary's Health Care System seeks a licensed Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat patients referred by physicians, in line with Georgia Practice Act and APTA guidelines. You will supervise LPTAs and athletic trainers, coordinate therapy plans, and support hospital missions and policies.

The role requires Georgia licensure and graduation from an APTA-accredited program, with broad clinical experience and strong documentation, billing, and collaboration skills with other care providers.

Qualifications

• Licensed by the Georgia State Board of Physical Therapy.
• Graduate of an APTA or other accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Possess a degree at least bachelor's level in Physical Therapy.
• Knowledge of documentation and billing to meet regulations.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and treats patients referred by a licensed physician.
• Supervises and participates in care of patients treated by LPTAs and athletic trainers.
• Plans, organizes and coordinates therapy treatments with therapy providers.
• Works collaboratively with nurses, physicians and hospital staff.
• Participates in clinical quality measurement and improvement programs.
