Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Lead Physical Therapist (LPT) is responsible for evaluating, planning, educating, and utilizing exercises and physical therapy modalities in the treatment and rehabilitation of individuals with medical problems, health conditions, or developmental disabilities that limit mobility or functional activities. The Physical Therapist also helps prevent conditions associated with loss of mobility, promotes movement, reduces pain, restores function, and prevents disability to help individuals achieve healthy and active lifestyles. The role includes assisting in program management and development responsibilities. Some travel may be required between facilities and for various job functions. This summary highlights the primary duties and responsibilities but is not exhaustive.

Qualifications
  • Must be able to travel to facilities as needed.
  • Membership in a professional organization is preferred.
  • Must demonstrate commitment and adherence to STHS’s Compliance Program and Code of Conduct, including compliance with all policies and procedures, attending required training, and reporting suspected compliance issues to the Compliance Officer.
Education / Licensure
  • Licensure in the State of Texas as a Physical Therapist.
  • Three or more years of clinical experience as a Licensed Physical Therapist.
  • Must have and maintain current BCLS certification according to the curriculum of the AHA, for Healthcare Provider’s Program.
