Job summary

DataVox in Houston seeks a Lead Physical Security Technician to join the Building Technology Solutions team. You will install CCTV, access control systems, intercoms, and related equipment, and manage server and UPS installations while performing testing and preventive maintenance.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, a Texas DPS Security Installer license (or ability to obtain), and a HS diploma or GED. Trade schooling or an electronics degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Trade School or 2-year degree in Basic Electronics preferred.
• 5+ years of Physical Security Installer Technician experience required.

Responsibilities

• Install IP CCTV, IP Access Control, Intercom, and subsidiary equipment.
• Install Access Control/VMS servers and UPS.
• Test installed equipment and basic programming (readers, users, cameras, controllers).
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs per manufacturers procedures.
• Troubleshoot and repair system/components to ensure uptime.
• Coordinate daily site needs with management and team members.
• Conduct site commissioning and testing with Programmer.
