Job summary

New Mexico Goatheads is seeking a Lead Photographer to serve as the primary game-day photographer for home games and key events. You will document action, celebrations, fan engagement, and promotions, coordinating with other photographers to ensure broad coverage.

The ideal candidate has sports photography experience, a strong portfolio in action and low-light scenarios, and the ability to deliver edited photos on tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Professional or collegiate sports photography experience preferred.
• Strong portfolio showing action, event, portrait, and low-light work.
• Proficiency with DSLR or mirrorless camera systems and lenses.
• Experience editing and delivering images quickly during or after events.
• Strong organizational and file-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary photographer for home games and select events.
• Capture game action, player arrivals, warmups, celebrations, fan engagement, promotions, and other moments.
• Coordinate with Marketing/Communications to identify priorities and required shots.
• Direct and coordinate coverage with additional photographers when applicable.
• Produce images suitable for social media, websites, marketing, PR, sponsorships, and archives.
• Edit, organize, caption, and deliver photos within established timelines.
• Maintain consistent image quality and visual standards across team photography.
