Job summary

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute (FCS) is seeking a Lead Phlebotomist to manage specimen collection, accessioning, and patient relations while coordinating the phlebotomy team. The role includes training, competency assessments, and supporting the Lab Director in staffing decisions.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of phlebotomy experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years of phlebotomy experience.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and other specimen collection procedures.
• Coordinate phlebotomy staff scheduling and track competencies.
• Assist Lab Director with hiring and onboarding of phlebotomists.
• Ensure safety and compliance with regulatory guidelines.
• Travel to provide phlebotomy coverage at other locations when needed.
