Job summary

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is seeking a floor lead Phlebotomist to support the Loma Linda VA Health Care System at 11201 Benton Street, Loma Linda, CA 92357. The role involves overseeing phlebotomy operations on multiple shifts and mentoring staff while ensuring patient safety and compliance.

Qualified candidates will have an Associate’s Degree or higher, a phlebotomy certification, and at least 7 years of phlebotomy experience, with leadership experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or higher preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification from an accredited program required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of phlebotomy experience.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Positive mentality with the ability to be flexible and assist as needed.
• Previous phlebotomy lead or supervisory experience required.
• No sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Performs proper specimen collection and labeling procedures used for routine and special procedures.
• Ensure proper patient identification, specimen labeling, specimen handling, and transportation in accordance with laboratory protocols.
• Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, quality assurance, and laboratory regulatory standards.
• Support employee onboarding, training, and mentoring of all new Ansible employees.
• Escalate staffing concerns, employee relations issues, complaints, and operational challenges to the Ansible Operations Manager.
• Facilitate communication between site employees, client representatives, and Ansible leadership.
• Identify opportunities to improve customer service.
• Help track and report attendance, tardiness, and other workforce concerns.
