Job summary

Nash UNC Health Care is seeking a Phlebotomist Lead to perform venous and capillary blood collection, potentially perform EKGs, and support laboratory operations. This role requires graduation from an approved phlebotomy training program and an ASCP/ASPT certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved training program in Phlebotomy.
• High school graduate or GED.

Responsibilities

• Performs venous and capillary blood collection from patients.
• May perform EKGs if appropriate for job assignment.
• Admits, orders and processes laboratory specimens for Nash Day Hospital, if needed.
• Performs specimen collections off-site, if needed.
• Monitors incomplete worklists on LIS throughout shift.
